Drumlanrig gets set for a ‘cracking’ day of Easter fun

17th March, 2015

Families are invited to enjoy a full day’s worth of Easter fun at Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate.

The Estate’s Easter fun day gets underway on April 5, with activities running from 10am-4pm.

The whole family can get into the Easter spirit with a special egg hunt taking place in the Estate gardens and an egg painting activity for those looking to get creative.

Making a welcome return to entertain visiting youngsters this year is Jason the Juggling Jester, with archery and grass sledging from Laggan Outdoor also expected to be a popular choice on the day.

Leading entertainment company, Team Challenge, will also provide a range of fun and exciting activities, including a giant assault course, a bouncy castle, a ball pool and inflatable laser tag, ensuring youngsters are spoilt for choice.

What’s more, visitors purchasing a season pass on the day will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a meal for two adults and two children at the Buccleuch and Queensberry Arms Hotel. The hotel offers delicious food with locally sourced ingredients.

Anna Fergusson, Visitor Services Manager at Drumlanrig, said: “Our Easter event looks set to be a fabulous day out for all the family, with plenty of entertainment along the way.

“We have some familiar faces making a return plus a host of brand new activities like grass sledging and laser tag, so it’s a really mixed bag with something for everyone.

“We hope lots of locals and visitors from further afield will join us for what promises to be an ‘egg-cellent’ day!”

Estate entry fees apply: adult £6.00 / child (5-16) £3.50 / under 5s free / family (2 adults + 3 children) £16.00.
