Castle Opening Hours
The Castle is open for Guided Tours on selected dates from Easter to the end of the Summer.
We also welcome groups throughout the year. You can find out more about privte visits and bringing a group here.

Enjoy a Guided Tour
With 600+ years of history, Drumlanrig Castle has many stories to tell from its Douglas family roots and the story of braveheart to more recent visits from astronauts and hit TV series Outlander. Join our Castle Tour Guides for a 75 minute long tour to discover what makes the Pink Palace so special.
Ticket Booking and Prices
Our guides look forward to taking you on a tour of the Castle. Discover the fascinating family history, art, furniture and objects from the Buccleuch Art Collection and grand Castle interiors. Tours take approximately 75 minutes and start from Reception – located next to the Castle Car Park via the covered walk way.
Admission includes Car Parking and Entry to the Castle Gardens

Tickets must be booked online. We are proud to offer free entry tickets for accompanying carers, please bring documentation if applicable. Tickets are also available for Historic Houses and ASVA members. Please bring relevant pass cards.
