We are delighted to announce that the Christmas Fair will be returning to Drumlanrig Castle this winter. Kickstart the festivities with some merriment and glee this December.

Friday 1st December: 2pm – 8pm
Saturday 2nd December: 11am – 4pm

Christmas Market

Located in our heated marquee under the glowing lights, tick off your Christmas list and feel good buying from our local traders. With a variety of foods and drinks, arts and crafts and bespoke creations, you’re sure to find something unique on sale.

Bring along the kids and treat them to a special visit to the main man himself! Santa will be stopping at Drumlanrig Castle for the weekend, ahead of his big mission in weeks to come.

Gardens & Adventure Playground Open

The Gardens and Adventure Playground will be open on Saturday, 2nd December from 11am to 4pm. Let the little ones burn off some energy, enjoy our mini Christmas trail and take a stroll through the beautiful Gardens here at Drumlanrig.

Included in Fair entry. 

Tasty Treats

What would a Christmas Fair be without a mulled wine (or two?). Up at the Castle you’ll find hot drinks and a Christmas themed menu in the Castle Tearoom and delicious warming snacks from a food truck too. Down at the Larchwood Cabin you can treat yourself to warming hot drinks and light snacks.

Treat yourself to something to take home too with a whole host of tasty treats, from local tipples to delicious traybakes, in the craft marquee.

Christmas wreaths for sale

Christmas Trees & Wreaths

Make Drumlanrig your one-stop shop this festive season and pick up a beautiful real Christmas tree and stunning handmade Christmas wreath too. Trees will be available from 5ft to 7ft, with a selection of wreath available, all handcrafted from the Drumlanrig Castle Garden team. If you would like to try your hand at creating your very own wreath – don’t miss our wreath making workshops taking place in December.

Castle storytelling

Castle Tours

Indulge in some history and culture while you are visiting. This year the Castle will be open for pre-booked Castle Tours too. These will run at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 14.30pm on Saturday 2nd December.

£3.00 per adult (16+).
£1 for Children (Ages 3+)
Free for under 3s

Castle Tours are available here and are subject to usual charges but include entry to the Fair.

Dogs are welcome at the Christmas Fair, in the marquee and in Drumlanrig’s Gardens. Please ensure your dog is kept on a lead. Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs in the Adventure Playground or Castle Tearoom
