Escape to the heart of the South of Scotland as Outsider Events brings the South Scotland Outdoor Festival to the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle from 26–28 June 2026 – a three-day celebration of adventure, wellness and live entertainment.
Set within the rolling hills and ancient woodlands of our Estate, the festival showcases the very best of outdoor adventures. From the legendary Grinduro gravel ride to scenic road cycles and exhilarating trail runs, we can’t wait for participants to discover the beauty of Dumfries and Galloway.
Beyond the tracks and trails, visitors can unwind in the festival’s dedicated wellness zone, complete with wood-fired saunas, yoga and breathwork sessions. Inspiring talks, adventure films and stories of exploration and endurance add even more depth to the weekend.
As the sun sets behind the Castle, the Big Stage comes alive with music, local food, craft drinks, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that defines the South of Scotland.

Spend the weekend immersed in the great outdoors, choosing from an exciting programme of physical events designed to challenge and inspire. Whether you prefer exploring on foot or taking to two wheels, there’s an option waiting for you.
Events include:
- Grinduro – Gravel Riding (100km & 50km routes)
- Run Drumlanrig – 5km, 10km & Half Marathon

Festival Village
Make the most of the weekend by staying right here on the Estate. With camping available on site, you’ll be perfectly placed at the heart of the action from start to finish.
When you’re not running or cycling, the festival village has everything you need – and more. Unwind in wood-fired saunas, reset with yoga and breathwork sessions, or settle in for inspiring guest speakers and adventure films.
As night falls, head to the Big Stage. Enjoy food and drink from hand-picked vendors and soak up an evening of live music, including headline act Valtos.
