The private fishing waters at Drumlanrig, the magnificent home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry, have been carefully managed for generations. Enjoy breathtaking scenery and landscape while enjoying a relaxing and quality fishing experience.
There is a great choice of River, Loch and Family Fishing. Or you could enjoy multi-day fishing; enjoy one day fishing Salmon on the River Nith then maybe Rainbow Trout on the Starburn Loch. The choice is yours. We also offer year-round fishing when other rivers might close.
River Fishing
The River Nith is the largest river in Dumfries and Galloway and has an established reputation for the quality of its salmon and sea trout. Providing weather conditions are favourable, Salmon will run early in the year. Sea Trout also run early and can be expected in quantity from May onwards whilst Grayling abound in the winter months.
