Your memories will be treasured and your photographs unrivalled, whether you have your ceremony in the grand heart of the Castle, or choose an elegant marquee in our gardens.
Ceremony options include:
Dining Room
Have a day to remember in the atmospheric, wood panelled Dining Room surrounded by years of history and heritage. This south-facing room has gorgeous views of the gardens.
Inner Courtyard
With pink sandstone and towers and turrets the Inner Courtyard can’t really get any more fairy tale! A unique wedding space right in the heart of the Castle.
The Front Hall
A majestic space for a romantic Castle wedding, with views up the drive and to the intimate unique inner courtyard. Ideal for small ceremonies or up to a maximum of 80 people.
Outside
The gardens and grounds of Drumlanrig Castle offer a choice of options for a unique outdoor wedding ceremony. Or if you don’t want to brave the Scottish weather the Bowling Green, nestled in the picturesque gardens with the Castle as a backdrop, provides a stunning location for a marquee.
(Please note that on days when we are open to the public, marquee receptions are warmly welcomed, however the inside of the Castle is unavailable for weddings.)
Drinks Receptions to Remember
Make sure your day sparkles with an exclusive drinks reception within the Castle. Surrounded by world class art, history and heritage your guests will have plenty to talk about as they share your big day. Whether you are looking for Champagne in the elegant Dining Room or cocktails in the historic Front Hall we can help bring your vision to reality.
Accommodation
We are delighted to now offer high quality self-catering accommodation on the estate for you and your guests. Whether you want to spend the night on site with bridesmaids or family before your big day or you are looking for an historic property to spend your first night as a married couple, we would be delighted to help.
Photographs
With the stunning backdrop of the Pink Palace with its external 17th century Renaissance façade and grand rooms, we are confident that your wedding photographs will not disappoint.
Whether you would like dramatic shots on the Great Oak Staircase or intimate shots on the horseshoe staircase we would look forward to working with you and your photographer to create memories to last a lifetime.
