Welcome to Laundry Cottage
Laundry Cottage is perfect for a group of friends or a large or extended family. Up to six guests can enjoy the cottage which has two double bedrooms (one en-suite), and one twin room with two single beds.
Located in a quiet spot with lovely views of the Estate. In late Autumn and Winter you can even see views of Drumlanrig Castle through the trees! There is a large fenced off garden and the property has parking for up to three cars.
Come Inside
The property itself has an open-plan living and dining area with a modern kitchen, 55-inch smart TV and a log burner, perfect for cosy movie nights after a busy day exploring the region. The modern kitchen has everything you need, with integrated appliances including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and electric oven and hob.
There are two downstairs bedrooms. One is a cosy double with beautiful panelling detail. The other is a large twin with two single beds which can be zipped together to create a king.
Downstairs also benefits from a good-sized family bathroom with claw foot bathtub and overhead shower, perfect for a relaxing soak or a quick shower to get you ready for a busy day of exploring.
Upstairs you will find large ensuite bedroom with king-size bed, built-in wardrobes and a large bathroom with walk-in shower.
There is oil-fired central heating throughout, ensuring you will have a warm and cosy stay whatever the Scottish weather brings!
The Great Outdoors
Outside you can enjoy an enclosed garden with views through the woodland to Drumlanrig Castle. The property is ideal for dog owners, with some of the estates waymarked walks minutes from the front door. The property also boasts a much sought-after Ooni pizza oven (multi-fuelled) and hot tub.
The property is also close to the walks, Castle Gardens and Playground (open seasonally) and our clay pigeon shooting area where we offer ‘have-a-go’ options.

Try your hand at clay pigeon shooting with our friendly, experienced instructor. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, we’ll provide everything you need for a safe, enjoyable countryside experience.
Please note that Laundry Cottage is located close to the shooting area, so guests staying may hear shooting during scheduled sessions, which take place during daytime hours only. We always aim to advise guests in advance, although occasionally bookings are made at short notice.

"Another wonderful family holiday at Drumlanrig. Laundry Cottage is even better than a home from home. It is beautifully finished, with everything you could need as a family. The hot tub was a real hit and it was great to sit down at night as a family and play one of the board games on offer. The wee one was so excited to by the adventure playground and the food and coffees at the cabin are great as you sit and watch the kids play. We hired the e-bikes and had a blast riding around the estate and using the link to local villages."

" Had a fabulous time at Laundry Cottage. The whole experience was first class, no experience has been stared on comfort or quality of fixtures and fittings. The views from the cottage and castle grounds are outstanding. We didn't leave the grounds for the whole stay as we didn't need to. We walked, cycled and went into the castle grounds to the gardens and adventure playground, which the kids loved. Loads of walks for the dogs and the hot tub was just an added bonus. Would 100% score 10/10 and more."

"Hats off to the Drumlanrig Estates team. ... The vista along the main drive is bucket list stuff on its own! ... The cottage is outstanding a bit like the room of requirement from Harry Potter, if you think of something you needed, well there it was…. Everything felt new or well maintained, and full compliments the housekeeping team. ... The icing on the cake is the hot tub, (it’s managed diligently by Simon, who also keeps the cottage garden looking smart) possibly the best positioned tub ever, as you could watch a myriad of wild life, rain or shine, while floating away the aches and pains of a walk through the estate. Laundry Cottage was a truly relaxing place. Thank you. "

I booked a short stay as a surprise for my husband’s birthday. We stayed in Laundry cottage on the wonderful Drumlanrig estate. Prior to our booking, the office girls were extremely helpful and provided us with so much information. On arrival, the cottage was spotless, in a beautiful, quiet spot near the castle. Decorated and maintained to a very high standard, the accommodation was faultless. The estate itself, is beautiful with fabulous walks and bike trails. It is also located in a very accessible spot. Overall, a fabulous, relaxing break. We will most definitely be returning.

"Great family break! Accommodations were spotlessly clean, spacious and well furnished. As we had both children and dogs with us the large garden at Laundry Cottage was perfect!
