Working as a Guide, you will be enthusiastic with a keen interest in Scottish history and ideally a good understanding of art. You must have exceptional standards of customer service and communication skills, and an ability to talk to groups of all ages. Your role will be hosting Castle tours and assisting in the day-to-day operations of this unique tourist attraction. Catering Team Leader (Seasonal)

We are looking for a professional and experienced individual to assist our Catering Supervisor in overseeing our catering team during the 2023 season.

As well as carrying out food preparation, you will assist with stock management, place orders, carry out supervisory tasks to support the catering team and ensure that high standards are maintained in our Cabin and Tearoom. If you have a passion for providing outstanding hospitality, then we want to hear from you!

Maintenance/Gardening Assistant (Seasonal)

In this customer facing role, you will assist with general maintenance of the playground and garden areas. Maintenance responsibilities will include litter picking, emptying bins, and ensuring the playground area is maintained in excellent condition for our visitors via playground checks (training will be provided for this). Garden duties will include weeding, watering, and strimming, as well as helping visitors in our garden centre. Working hours will be 7.45am to 4.30pm on a 4 days on, 4 days off basis, including weekends.

Food & Beverage Assistant (Seasonal)

1 April to 30 September 2023

In this role, you will work in our tearoom and cabin welcoming visitors, serving hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes and lunches, and ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a busy visitor services environment.

Please Note

Hours and shifts will vary and will include weekends. As Drumlanrig Castle is not accessible by public transport, access to your own transport is essential.
