Spring is the perfect time to cast your rod, with fishing available on our fully stocked lochs and river. Staying on the Estate means you’re just a stone’s throw from peaceful, picturesque fishing spots.

Long, sunny days under blue skies are perfect for exploring the wider Estate and ideal for families visiting Dumfries and Galloway during the school holidays, with days out like, Galloway Country Fair, right on your doorstep!
With the Castle open for the season, summer is also the perfect opportunity to step inside on a Guided Tour and discover the history and stories of Drumlanrig.
Free Entry to Gardens
During the general open season (28 February – 31 October), holiday guests enjoy complimentary access to the Gardens throughout their stay. In summer, the Gardens are a true delight, alive with vibrant colour, flourishing flowers and abundant wildlife.

Despite being classed as self-catering, we pride ourselves on offering thoughtful hospitality extras to elevate your stay. In summer, nothing beats a picnic – have one freshly prepared and delivered to your cottage, or let our chef bring the cooking to you with a delicious barbecue, either on site or at a scenic spot elsewhere on the Estate.
