You’ll receive a warm welcome during our open season at the Larchwood Cabin, your entry point to the Castle Gardens and Adventure Playground.
Located to the lower left of the Castle, simply park in the bottom car park and make your way to the Cabin to start your adventure.
Don’t forget to show your Annual Pass to save money on multiple visits – or enquire to purchase your own!
The Larchwood Cabin Café
Stay refreshed and refuelled at our dog-friendly Larchwood Cabin Café, where you’ll find a delicious selection of fresh food alongside your favourite treats.
With a focus on quality ingredients, our menu offers nourishing salads, hearty soups, and delicious sandwiches, alongside homemade bakes and a selection of allergen-friendly options. Whether you’re stopping by for a light lunch, grabbing a takeaway coffee, or indulging in something sweet, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
In our main Café area you’ll also be able to buy some Castle souvenirs and Gift Shop goodies.
The Plant Centre
Next to the Larchwood Cabin, heading toward the Castle Gardens, you’ll find our Plant Centre – a hidden gem for horticulture enthusiasts, filled with seasonal blooms, shrubs, and garden favourites.
Whether you’re looking to add a splash of colour to your borders or take home a little inspiration from the Castle Gardens, there’s something for everyone.
Simply select your favourites and head to the Larchwood Cabin to make your purchase.

When & Where to Find Us
The Larchwood Cabin is open daily from 28th February – 31st October.
Visit between 9:30am – 4:30pm (food served from 10:00am)
On arrival at Drumlanrig, follow the signs for the Larchwood Cabin/Gardens & Adventure Playground. You’ll reach the lower car park, from there awaits the Larchwood Cabin – your gateway to great food and adventure!
Please Note: Alternative dining options at Drumlanrig – The Castle Tearoom (open only on Sundays & Tour Dates).
