Booking Tickets

Booking online is highly recommended as it will ensure that the desired tickets are available on the day you wish to visit. When you book online you will also be provided with an email detailing all of our pre-arrival information.

Tickets can be printed or simply shown via smartphone on arrival.

Gardens and Adventure Playground tickets can be purchased on the same day as your visit as long as there is availability. Castle Tour tickets must be booked online in advance to avoid disappointment.

All available tour times are accessible via our website and can be booked by selecting the times that suit for your visit. Each tour has a maximum number for 12 people per tour.

To book tickets for the gardens, please visit the Book Gardens and Playground and from there you can select the date of your visit and the type of ticket you require.

Tickets with monetary value cannot be resold, exchanged, transferred to another date or refunded. If you wish to cancel a free booking please call 01848 331555 or email info@drumlanrigcastle.co.uk

Visiting

In 2023 tThe Gardens and Adventure Playground are open daily, from 1st April to end of September between 11am until last entry at 3pm with the gates closing at 4pm.

For the walking and mountain bike trails the most up to date information will be accessible via our website as well as at the orientation board at the top of the main Castle car park daily.

We welcome HHA and ASVA members and tickets can be booked by clicking on the card of choice when selecting your ticket. Please ensure you bring your membership card with you when you visit.

Carers can access our site free of charge, we would ask however that tickets are booked in advance by selecting the ‘accompanying carer’ option at the ticket selection stage.

Access to the gardens will be via the Adventure Playground entrance beside our New Larchwood Cabin.

When you approach the Castle please turn left and head down the hill until you reach the Gardens and Adventure Playground Car Park.

There are accessible parking spaces down beside the Larchwood Cabin available on a first come first served basis.

We are able to offer takeaway from the New Larchwood Cabin. We have a simple and delicious offering of hot and cold drinks, crisps, biscuits, traybakes and ice-creams. Sandwiches and Panini’s will also be available.  The menu can be viewed here.

Limited picnic benches are available outside the Larchwood Cabin. You can also bring along your blankets and enjoy your refreshments in our beautiful gardens.

Yes – during public opening at the Larchwood Cabin next to the Gardens. The toilets next to the Castle Stableyard are open all year.

Please wear a face covering within the toilets.

The Adventure Playground is open the same days as the Gardens. Booking is highly recommended.

Four-legged friends are welcome to visit the Gardens with their humans but we ask that they are please kept on leads under proper control and that their owners clean up after them. However, we do not allow dogs in the Adventure Playground, Larchwood Cabin or Tearoom.

When will the Tearoom and Gift Shop be open this year?

At present, the Castle Tearoom and Gift shop will be open at the same time as the Castle. Those times can be found here.

Yes, these facilities are open 7 days a week.

Car Parking

Yes, a nominal daily rate. Annual passes are available too.  See the plan a visit page.

Season Tickets

Yes, we are offering Individual season passes and Family season passes  in (2 adults and up to 3 children) in 2023.
