Loch & Coarse Fishing

This quality two acre loch is stocked with rainbow trout and also has wild brown trout. It is located near Thornhill, set within glorious countryside on the Estate of the Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry, KT, KBE. Fly fishing only is allowed, and barbless hooks must be used. Brown trout average 1lb and rainbow trout 3lbs, but some reach up to 5lbs.

This is a two and a half acre loch containing tench, carp and wild brown trout set within the woodlands behind Drumlanrig Mains, providing good bank fishing.

Three acre loch. Best fished from the boat set in tranquil surroundings. Stocked with Rainbow Trout. The loch lies within the adjacent woodlands of Drumlanrig Castle and is often the loch of choice for our regular clientele.

An eight acre loch stocked with Rainbow Trout and accessed by boat or from the bank. The loch lies a few miles to the east of Drumlanrig Castle, the ancestral seat of the Earl of Morton.
